For a VAT-inclusive price, divide it by (1 + the rate) to find the price before VAT.

A few useful answers
Can I change the VAT rate?
Yes. The default is 15%, and you can change it to suit your transaction. This tool performs arithmetic; it does not determine the correct tax treatment.
Why can’t I subtract 15% from an inclusive price?
VAT is a percentage of the original price, not of the inclusive total. To extract 15% VAT, divide the total by 1.15 and subtract the original price from the total.
Do you keep the amounts I enter?
No. Calculation happens in your browser. Amounts are not sent to a server or saved in a shared link.
