How to use this tool
- One PDF up to 10 MB and 100 pages, unencrypted and without interactive/signature fields. Rendering is limited to 20 pages and 40 megapixels total; up to 2400 px per side and 4 megapixels/page.
- Start with structure optimization: rewrite document structure and object compression without converting pages to images. Already compressed PDFs may not get smaller.
- For scanned copies, choose image compression after explicit consent: each page becomes a white-background JPG, losing searchable/selectable text, links and semantic structure. Do not use it in place of an important original or signed document.
- We compare actual byte sizes. If no smaller file is produced, the original bytes are retained for download. Review readability and page order after downloading.
A few useful answers
Why does every file not shrink?
Images/data may already be efficiently compressed. Structural optimization does not recompress every image. Image mode trades quality for size and may produce a larger file; in that case we retain the original.
Does compression remove sensitive data?
This is not redaction or security sanitization. Structure optimization may retain metadata and attachments. It does not guarantee hidden-data removal or digital-signature preservation.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Processing stays in your browser without uploads or saved history. Download/copy happen only when you choose them. Page URLs contain no inputs.
