PDF tools and document preparation

Start with the files you have and the output you need. Selecting pages from an existing document is different from assembling photos, and reducing size can change image quality depending on the method.

Which tool fits your task?

Combine files into one document

Use Merge PDF when every input is already a PDF. Choose Images to PDF for photos alone. The document pack combines both images and PDFs in one chosen order.

Keep selected pages or export page images

Extract pages creates a new PDF containing your selection. PDF to JPG & PNG exports each selected page as an image at your chosen resolution.

Meet a file-size limit

Try PDF structure optimization first. Compressing scanned pages is a separate option that can reduce clarity and remove searchable text; inspect the preview and actual output size before submitting.

Check the output before using it

Files are processed on your device, without processing uploads. Limits depend on the tool and available memory. Editing a PDF can affect digital signatures, forms and links. Keep the original, inspect the output and do not assume it is an equivalent replacement for an official document.

Starting from a photo?

Prepare its format and dimensions with the image tools, then assemble a PDF if needed. Avoid reducing resolution too far when the document must remain readable or printable.
